I once had a Creative Director tell me this while we were in the midst of an extremely harried shoot. I’ve always remembered this because over time it usually seems to work out that way. The same holds true for creative suppliers. She was an incredibly demanding client to work for. Yet, to this day, she is still one of my all-time favorites. Why? Because she always insisted that we work to exceed her expectations.
Want the clients you deserve? Here are 3.5 ways you can use Social Media to connect and exceed a client or prospect’s expectations;
1. Send them a postcard from your iPhone with Postman while you’re on the road of a location they can use on another project.
2. Change the tone of your Tweets. More ideas about what helps them and less about how you’re the solution.
3. Subscribe to an RSS feed from Mashable. In one week you’ll get enough great ideas to pass along for a month.
Finally
3.5 Remember that one of the basic principles of Social Media is, “Pay it Forward”. Need an illustration? See the movie. It’s a little soapy, but you’ll get the point.
